I like talking as much as anybody. As a matter of fact, I get a lot of strength from having deep conversations about important topics with people that mean a lot to me. But sometimes, it is time to quit talking and get to work.
I think this may just be one of those times.
The 2020 Executive Retreat recently wrapped up and there was plenty to talk about. Those that were able to attend shared the real issues that are being faced in our practices. Not only are we focusing on the consistent concerns of people and money, we are now wrestling with other deep issues like Private Equity, updating marketing strategies, effective communication with patients and dealing with more “issues” than we can handle.
Melissa Hill’s message, The Toughness Decision drove the group to action. We have all been in situations where we feel paralyzed by “too many choices” or “not knowing where to turn.” It is at these times we need to practice the lessons from Melissa’s message......

2020 is the year for real action on your highest priority.
Social Media marketing is not cutting edge anymore. What’s next?
Most practices have opened too many channels to communicate with patients. Are you doing any of them well?
Telehealth is the fastest growing component of healthcare and is immersing into eyecare. Are you still fighting it or learning to adapt?
If your practice is the right size, then Private Equity is knocking at your door. Do you know what you are going to say? Can you be taken advantage of?
What is your exit strategy? Do you have one?
This is the year for true progress. It is 2020! Let’s make it count. I am asking that you decide what will be your one big accomplishment of 2020. This is an official challenge.
